Knowledge is free…at your library!

marcusandmikecatinhatNational Library Week was a busy week at Riverside this year.  Students and staff enjoyed a variety of activities including dress up days and a successful paperback book swap.

We started Monday with a comfy Pajama Day, getting cozy with books and reading.  On Tuesday students were given the opportunity to decorate a Love Your Library sign and enter a drawing to win one of two $25  gift certificates to Barnes and Noble.  We will be making a scrap book of all of the entries to keep in the library for all to enjoy.

Wednesday was another dress up day as your favorite book character.  We were happy to see so many creative examples!  Thursday was the paperback book swap day and we had a huge turnout!  Our final day was School Spirit Day with many wearing Riverside shirts and colors.

Thank you to everyone for such great participation this year!

It was also an exciting week at the Dembowski household.  We added a new member to our family – We adopted a cat from the Lincoln County Humane Society named Marcus.  What a fun week it was!
