QR Code Scavenger Hunt

DSCN1693This past rotation had students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades participating in a QR Code Scavenger Hunt.  Mrs. D placed eight different QR codes around the library with an attached activity.  Students used their ipads to go around the library, scan the code (which took them to a YouTube video on that ipad topic) and then complete the activity written in red on the QR sheet.  Students practiced a variety of activities including airdropping, creating folders and hand gestures for short cuts.  Mrs. D rotated around the library asking individual students to demonstrate their knowledge of the topics.

Kindergartners are practicing their mouse skills and trying out the website Starfall to practice their reading and math skills.

1st graders dove into the Teach Your Monster to Read 2 and were excited to earn prizes for their avatar, while practicing reading in the process.

2nd graders created word clouds about themselves using ABCya Word Clouds…There were two copies printed – one for their writing folder covers and the other for home.
